Downtown Michigan City on Franklin Street

Since day one, our vision was not only to create stunning designs and results that grow our clients’ businesses but also to be active in our community. By hosting many different types of events, we are able to provide helpful knowledge and assistance directly to small business owners and students throughout Northwest Indiana. Whether that be learning, how to market a small business online, or strengthening interviewing skills, we could all use a little help.

How We Give Back:

  • Non-Profit Marketing Services
  • Community Workshops
  • Student Mentoring
  • STEM Programs

Here at Sera Group, we incorporate our values of quality and innovation into both our internal operations as well as our community-based projects. We believe making a difference in the lives of small business owners and our communities’ youth is one of the most rewarding parts of our job.

Community Workshops:

Over the past year, we have partnered with many organizations to provide educational workshops including:

With these partnerships, we have been able to host workshops in Michigan City, Valparaiso, and on-campus at Purdue Northwest. In these workshops, we are able to teach students and the community about technology and digital marketing, sparking that initial curiosity and getting people excited about all of the possibilities of digital marketing that is essential.

Mentoring:

Little League Baseball Teams

Sponsoring little league baseball teams gives us the ability to help the youth in our community not only stay active but also learn how to work as a team. Teamwork is a skill that will be used throughout their entire life and learning this at a young age is key. Plus, baseball is a great way to interact with your peers and make friends.

Mock Interviews

Based on research, we have found that it takes 7 seconds to make a first impression. This means that if you trip while walking into your interview, you are already labeled as clumsy and possibly disorganized. In order to make up for that trip, you will need to “wow” the interviewer with your bubbly personality and people skills. We realized not many people have had interview experience so we decided to hold free mock interviews for the community. Goodwill volunteers and high school/post-high school students from the local community have joined us in the past to enhance their interview skills. We walk them through everything from how to properly shake a hand to other actions that will leave a lasting impression.

STEM Program

For over two years, we have had the opportunity to work with fourth-grade classes at Crichfield Elementary School in La Porte, Indiana. The students are able to learn the basics of how coding a website, robot, or phone app is done, through games and exercises. The students are learning how to think about and use technology in a way they haven’t before, therefore increasing their curiosity. Sharing our excitement for technology remains an integral part of Sera Group’s vision. It was this same curiosity that made us who we are today, that is why we try to pass down our passion for innovation to the younger generation.
